Head In The Clouds, 2025

Mixed-media collage portrait of a woman with closed eyes, drawn in black marker contour line on watercolor paper.  Bold black lashes and magenta lips are the only filled areas of the face. A crystal drop earring hangs from one ear.  Her hair is cut from sky-toned and metallic mauve paper, scattered with jewelry-flower cutouts in pearl, rose gold and pave.  A strip of gold foil runs down the left edge beside green patterned paper at her shoulder, and tropical floral paper fills the lower edge.  Because dreaming is how we begin.  A woman crowned in sky and jewels, eyes closed, seeing more than most.
